How do customs brokers work?
- The representatives of the customs brokers fill out the necessary documents and submit them to the customs based on the contracts and invoices submitted by the customers intending to export or import their products to/from third countries. The documents prepared by the representatives of the customs brokers depend on the procedure ordered by the customer.
- Representatives of customs brokers carry out their work using a personal electronic signature (EORI code) valid throughout the EU, this way assuming full responsibility for the correctness of the data.
- It is worth noting that nearly all customs declarations are submitted online, using automatic data processing system (MDAS).
