Chargeable weight

All vehicles have corresponding restrictions on cargo volume and weight. For example, the average weight per one cubic meter of cargo applicable to the carriage by air equals 166.66kg; to carriage by sea 1,000kg; and to carriage by land 333kg.

The volumetric weight of the cargo is calculated by multiplying the actual volume of the cargo by the factor applicable to by the corresponding type of transport (the average weight per one cubic meter). This way, the chargeable weight is determined. Application of the said formula enables to ensure the most optimal utilisation of a vehicle.
